HAPPY 5th Birthday Ashton

It is hard to believe my baby is 5 already. Where has the time gone?? He has changed so much in the past 5 years and matured a lot. I can't believe my baby is growing up.
So for his birthday, he decided he wanted to have a sleepover with some friends. We had 5 boys here, including him on Friday night. They played video games, webkinz, ate chocolate chip cookies, watched The Bee Movie, and ate popcorn. On Saturday morning, they all ate breakfast and played some games. Then parents came and we had lunch, played some more games, opened presents and ate cake and ice cream. It was very fun. And surprisely, Chad and I weren't completely exhausted!

First Day of Kindergarten

We hit another milestone. One that I was not very excited to hit. Ashton started kindergarten today! He got up at 7:30am this morning and was already asking when the bus was coming. Can you say excited? The bus doesn't come until 9am. So he got dressed for school and had breakfast and then even had time to play for a little before the bus came. I was really nervous for him to ride the bus. I wanted to follow the bus to school but my husband thought that would be crazy. When the bus arrived, I was comforted by the fact that the bus driver is our neighbor. So I definitely felt at ease. When school was over, Ashton rides the bus to his daycare. I told him I would meet him there so I could see how his day was and then I was off to work. Well, it turns out he really loves kindergarten. He said he had lots of fun. He did however get in trouble the first day of school. For what?? Talking! Can you imagine my son talking too much?? Well, one day down 179 more to go. Everyday will get easier.

Adi's 16 Month Checkup

Well, Adi had her 16 month checkup. Actually her 15 month checkup but she is 16 months. She did pretty well although she did not enjoy the 2 shots she got. Her stats:
Weight-25 lbs 4 oz
Height-31 7/8 in.

It is hard to believe how big she is getting and how much she is talking. She is starting to combine words together. And tonight she even said "I sit here" Time flies by too quickly.

Happy 1st Birthday Adisyn!

Well, it is impossible to believe that 1 year ago today I was giving birth to our precious little girl. Since then, she has grown into an amazing, sweet, loving little 1 year old. It makes me sad to think that my baby is growing up. She no longer gets a bottle but drinks solely from a sippy cup. She has done a SUPER job with the transition. She is becoming more and more independent and doesn't want mommy's help for a lot of things. We have come a long way from day 1 when I had to do everything for her. She absolutely adores her big brother. He can make her laugh even when she is crying. Well, I just continue to pray that she grows up to be a respectful, God-loving woman. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADI!!

Update for 2008

Well, I realized I have not posted anything in the new year. I am so good at this blogging thing. I guess we are too busy and by the time I have time to sit down I just don't feeling like writing in my blog b/c I have to catch up on everyone elses' blog.
It is hard to believe in less than a month our daughter will be 1 year old. She is starting to figure out the walking thing. She will stand up in the middle of the room now and take quite a few steps. Still not very steady but she is definitely progressing. I have also started giving her whole milk. I didn't wait for my son to one before I started him on milk either and he turned out wonderful. We have also stopped bottles during the day. She only drinks out of sippy cups during the day. And gets a bottle right before bed. She is doing great!
Our son is also going to be 5 in 5 months. Which is another amazement to me. I can't believe he will be starting kindergarten in the fall. Everyday he amazes me with the amount of knowledge he has. I wonder where he learns everything from. I think he is smarter than me.
As far as my husband and I go. I think we are just enjoying our kids and each other. Hopefully I will post some recent pictures of the kids soon.
